What is Integrative Nutrigenomics?
Integrative Nutrigenomics is an incredibly valuable tool for anyone interested in being proactive about their health. It uses genomic testing to analyze your genes and show us how your genetic profile directly affects your health.
The testing looks at your active warning signals or SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms), which reveal specific information regarding your metabolism and gut health, cardiovascular health, hormone health, brain chemistry, injury and recovery, inflammation, immune health, liver health, longevity, sleep, and stress levels.
Your results are used to create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your genetic profile and is specifically tailored to support your long-term health.
What can I expect?
At your first appointment:
We will discuss your personal health goals and concerns. We will review any current lab work, medications and nutritional supplements you are taking, and perform any physical tests that are applicable to your case.
At your second appointment:
We will go through your full genomic testing results. We will look at how your genes have
currently expressed and why. Your 70+ page test results will be condensed into a summary report with detailed information regarding how your genetic profile directly affects your health.
At your follow-up appointments:
We will go through your personalized treatment plan. This is broken down into three phases that are structured specifically to you and can include counselling in nutrition, lifestyle, diet, hormones, medication, supplements and exercise, mind body work and physical therapies.
Phase 1:
In phase 1 we clean up the metabolic waste that has built up in your system over the years from stress, diet, lifestyle, trauma and the environment. This allows your system to be more receptive to a genetic reframe or balance. This phase typically takes a few weeks, depending on how you walk through our door.
Phase 2:
In phase 2 we balance your active warning signals or SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms). We isolate and treat your master genes, which allows numerous other genes to also fall into balance. This phase typically takes a few months depending on the severity of your case and sensitivity of your body.
Phase 3:
In phase 3 we look at your long-term health. We create a simplified maintenance plan that supports your health, wellness and longevity, and empower you with the knowledge of how to treat your body specifically.
